Early Activity After MI Appears Safe

Early Activity After MI Appears Safe

• Early activity within 1 week after MI discharge was not associated with increased cardiovascular risk.
• No MACE occurred in highly active patients during the first month after discharge, versus 5 events in less active patients.
• Long-term outcomes were similar.
• Study supports earlier mobilization after MI with cautious individualized recovery based on infarct size.
