Single Versus Dual Antiplatelet Therapy After TAVR in Patients Without an Indication for Oral Anticoagulation
TRITAVI Registry | JACC: Advances | 27 May 2026
Take-Home Messages:
In more than 5,000 TAVR patients without an indication for anticoagulation, SAPT improved survival without increasing stroke risk.
SAPT reduced all-cause mortality:
2.4% vs 5.4% at 6 months
11.7% vs 14.2% at 24 months
Major bleeding was less frequent with SAPT.
Stroke and other ischemic events were similar between SAPT and DAPT.
Use of DAPT declined over time as clinical practice shifted toward SAPT.
