Can Tirofiban Improve 90-Day Outcomes After Poor Response to Stroke Thrombolysis?
New INSTANT trial suggests improved 90-day outcomes in selected ischemic stroke patients who:
* received Tenecteplase
* showed poor neurological improvement within 4–24 hours
* had no large- or medium-vessel occlusion, as these patients may be eligible for Mechanical Thrombectomy instead.
* Excellent recovery rates:
* 63.8% vs 52.2% with placebo.
* Symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage remained rare.
