EuroPCR 2026: Can Coronary Arteries Move Naturally Again After PCI?
• Bioadaptor is a new coronary implant (new type of stent) designed to restore more natural vessel movement after PCI.
• Unlike traditional DES, it does not remain a rigid permanent metallic cage.
• After several months, part of the implant unlocks, allowing the artery to move and expand more naturally.
• At 4 years:
• Lower target lesion failure
• Lower cardiovascular death compared with Resolute Onyx DES
• Main idea:
Restore more natural vessel function after PCI instead of permanently “caging” the artery.
